The noise disturbance from the wooden floors was unbearable. I could hear every step from neighbors above and conversations in nearby rooms clearly. I found the breakfast service lacking. the food was mediocre and didn’t meet the expectations set by other reviews.

Loved the cozy design and delicious breakfasts at Harper’s House. noise from nearby rooms disrupted the peaceful stay.

Consider requesting an upstairs room for less noise and more privacy, especially if you're sensitive to sound.

The location was perfect, just a short walk to the V&A Waterfront, where we found many activities for the kids. The staff were incredibly accommodating and made our stay comfortable with their attention to detail. The breakfast was a highlight, offering a variety of delicious options for our family each morning.

harper's house is defintely more of a noisy hostel than a hotel, as I could hear everything from the bathrooms next door, very unappealing. to add to that, I had to preselect my breakfast, which was stale and overcooked. I expected an upgrade after such disappointments, but clearly that's too much to ask.

Had a blast here! The staff were so nice, made me feel right at home. The breakfast was super nice, loved the special diet options too. My only bummer was the outdoor seating wasn’t available much due to the weather. But overall, the huge room and comfy bed made up for it.

i had a lovely stay at harpers house, exceeding my expectations after previous visits to cape town. the spacious room and comfortable king size bed were perfect for relaxation after my travels. breakfasts on the terrace were tasty, allowing me to unwind with a book by the pool.
